David Shaw, Senior Pastor. The Rev. Dr. David Shaw has been a pastor for over 40 years serving 24 of those years in multi-ethnic congregations in the State of Hawaii on three different islands with his wife. They have two adult children: Benjamin who works for Chase Bank in Tempe Arizona and Matthew who lives in Boulder Colorado with his wife Erin and works for a Software/Computer firm.  Anita is the choir and music director for our traditional church services and teaches several women’s Bible study courses each year. For the past 16 years David has served as the senior pastor of Meadowlark Community Church in San Marcos, California. He has served as a founding board member for Hawaiian Islands Ministries. He has been a Board of Director member for Trinity Airlines (a medical supply mission), and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Real Life Ministries (a medical/dental mission that builds houses in Mexico).

Jake Duran, Associate Pastor Jake was born in Phoenix and grew up in Tuba City, Ariz. He graduated from Wasatch Academy, Mt. Pleasant, Utah. He spent almost 11 years in the Marines, attaining the rank of Captain. Jake left the Marines to enter the ministry, earning a degree from LA Sierra College, Arlington California. Has spent the last 54 years serving as a preacher, teacher, school principal at numerous locations. Married to Marilyn, Jake has been the interim pastor, youth pastor, and associate pastor at Meadow Lark Community Church for 14 years.

Cathrine Osthimer, Director of Children's Ministry

Cathrine has been Director of Children’s Ministry for Meadowlark Church since 2010 and Church Office Administrator since 2015, is delighted to be part of growing God’s Kingdom through ministering to Children and their families through the enriching Sunday School programs, Vacation Bible School, Family Camps, Children’s Choir, and special events throughout the year here at Meadowlark Church. Cathrine earned her B.A. from the school of Music and Dance at San Diego State University and Teaching Credential from Cal State University San Marcos. Cathrine is also an artist and has illustrated two Children’s books and enjoys sharing her passion for art in local elementary school art programs and when teaching several of the Sunday School classes with her husband John. John is also involved in the Men’s Fellowship group. Cathrine and John have three children, their daughter Emily, who studies Botany at Humboldt University, their son John, who is in High School and runs Audio-visual for Children’s Ministry, and their youngest, Joshua, who is in elementary school. They have been part of the Meadowlark family since 2004 and feel blessed to have been nurtured by the intimate, Christ-centered, loving church family of Meadowlark.

Tony and Tiffany are San Diego natives, Tony was raised in South County San Diego while Tiffany was raised in Encinitas. They have two daughters, Ruby almost 2 years old and Isabel 6 months . Tony holds a Pastoral Studies degree from Patten University and Tiffany has a Literature and Writing degree from Cal State San Marcos. Tony is called by God to disciple, preach the Gospel and love young people and has enjoyed working toward this end at Meadowlark Church. God opened many doors that led them here and he is so humbled and grateful to be a part of such an amazing team working together for the Gospel. Tim Holcombe, Music Director Instruments:      Vocals, guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass, piano, percussion, harmonica, lap steel, dobro Tim began his music at age 12. He got his first guitar at 13. Throughout high school. Tim was involved in madrigals and school plays. He entered Westmont College at 17 as a music and drama major. Tim has 22 years of experience as a music director/ worship leader at churches around North County. Tim’s professional experience includes guitar and vocals with Merle Haggard’s band, Holly Williams (daughter of Hank Williams Jr.), Grammy and CMA award winner Deana Carter, Grammy winner Scott Joss, multi-platinum recording artist Lila McCann, recording with Highway 101 Grammy winner Tommy Spurlock, and Grammy winner Alan Phillips. Locally, Tim plays with the Peter Pupping Quartet, Alan Phillips, Scott Burns, and Paul Castellanos and other local legends.
